Looking to expand your desktop environment but don't want to spend a lot of money on two separate monitors? Maybe you want something compact and sharp to save desktop space and make you more productive. You're in luck, as Philips Monitors just launched its Two-in-One Monitor.
The Two-In-One IPS Monitor is still somewhat pricey at $499 (Newegg lists it for $417.99), but you get two screens measuring 19 inches each that can be rotated to create one 32 inch display. The 3.5 mm border provides a near-seamless environment so you can focus on what's on the combined screens rather than the border cutting the environment down the middle.
Additionally, the screens on the Two-In-One Monitor can be turned forwards and backwards up to 22.5 degrees, allowing the user to maximize the viewing area. Their height can also be adjusted by up to 100 mm.
Each LED-lit screen has a 1280 x 1024 resolution, a 5 ms response time, a contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1 and a brightness of 250 cd/m2. There's also one DisplayPort and one VGA input on the first monitor and one VGA input and one MHL-capable HDMI input on the second panel. Two USB 2.0 ports are provided on both panels.
